I have the presetup driver for my disk in the sequence and it appears to work fine.

If I cycle the power on the machine it starts up, finishes setup and then works normally. Everything works fine until I get to the Windows XP Setup.

I am not sure if physical machine has anything to do with VMs virtual I/O drivers. I am trying to deploy XP SP2 to a Dell 755. I have not tried building a brand new image all the way from scratch but then again, the whole point of trying to make a hardware independent image is to avoid that time consuming mess to begin with. The XP VM I am trying to run is Windows XP SP3, the physical XP machine is a Dell Optiplex 755 (a quite popular model which I was able to buy a couple of used ones from eBay before). Not that big of a deal, but I'm baffled as to why the 760 won't play nice with our image all of a sudden. Aside from the driver, the major change on this image revision is XP SP3.ДЄt this point, the only way we can avoid these errors is to bypass the Intel AHCI controller completely by setting the machines to use ATA instead of AHCI within the BIOS. Even re-imaging from our last known good image has the same effect when using either of these drivers.
